NEVER LOSE FOCUS

Focus is the main core of photography, without it, great pictures cannot be captured. When capturing a picture, you already know what object you want to capture, hence your focus must be on it.

A great picture is made of a combination of a blur background and a vivid object. You do not have to worry about the background but the object you want to capture. A digital camera has auto focus and manual focus.

AUTO FOCUS

Auto focus makes photography easier as it just focuses for you and decreases the chances of capturing blurry pictures. It is best to use auto focus on moving object for instance, like taking a picture of someone who is playing soccer.

However, it is not always accurate because it can somehow focus on something else rather than what you want to focus on. For auto focus to be effective, you need to place focus frame on the centre of the object.

MANUAL FOCUS

In manual focus you personally focus on the object using camera focusl ring. Here you choose an object to focus on, then sharpen the object. One of the best things about manual focus is that you can be creative when capturing.

Most professional photographers use manual focus to create great pictures and play around with their objects. After reading MasterClass article about manual focus, I started using it to play with small object in a bigger space to be creative.
